Join us for the opening of Slow Intimacy at 18:00 on 12 October 2022 at GUS.

 

Slow Intimacy is a three-part exhibition, taking place at GUS, IS Art and Oude Leeskamer.

 

The exhibitions bring together the art and design of select artists and jewellers as a means of expressing the slow intimacies involved in the making of art but also engages intimacy as subject. The exhibitions are a collaboration between the Department of Visual Arts at Stellenbosch University and the curators at the satellite venues. 

 

Gabeba Baderoon will open the exhibitions around 18:00 at GUS in Dorp Street on Wednesday the 12th of October. Viewers can walk from there to the other exhibition spaces after a glass of wine. There will also be a 'walk-about' with select artists and curators at GUS on Thursday the 13th at 17:00.
