Visual Arts 1st years exhibition

17 May - 26 May 2018

Artefact

ˈɑːtɪfakt

An object made by a human being, typically one of cultural or historical interest.

How do objects tell stories? How do they speak to the context they are taken from? How are their meanings changed when re-contextualized? We began searching for and retrieving various objects, both organic and inorganic. Having selected certain forms, writings and photographs we discovered in this collective exhibition of cast silver, tin, and animations which question the history, context, placement and displacement of these objects.
