On a Saturday morning of 15 July 2017 GUS hosted a screening of 'What the Soil remembers' - a documentary by José Cardoso on the search for justice after forced removals in the 60s destroyed the once thriving community of Die Vlakte in the heart of Stellenbosch. The screening was followed by a discussion.
